Terms of Use

Last updated: April 2026  |  RoadworksTrackr is a product of JTG Digital

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using RoadworksTrackr. By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About RoadworksTrackr

RoadworksTrackr is an independent UK roadworks and traffic monitoring tool developed and operated by JTG Digital ("we", "us", "our"). The Service aggregates publicly available roadworks data from government open-data sources — including the Department for Transport Street Manager service, National Highways, Traffic Scotland, and Transport for London — and presents it in a mobile application and website for informational purposes.

RoadworksTrackr is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with any government department, highway authority, or public body. Use of government data source names is purely descriptive of where the data originates. No government endorsement is implied or should be inferred.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RoadworksTrackr (the "Service") — including the mobile application available on Apple App Store and Google Play, and the website at roadworkstrackr.com — you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them and our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. Continued use of the Service after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

4.1 Subscription Tiers

RoadworksTrackr is available in the following tiers:

Current pricing is displayed in the app at the time of purchase and may vary by country or region. Prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT.

4.2 In-App Purchases

Subscriptions are offered as in-app purchases processed by:

Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription state and entitlement management is handled by RevenueCat, Inc. on our behalf. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

4.3 Renewal and Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings, or via the Manage Subscription option in the RoadworksTrackr app. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods, except as required by applicable law or as determined by Apple or Google in accordance with their own policies.

4.4 Free Trial

We may from time to time offer free trials of Pro or Ultimate. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial period, you will be charged the applicable subscription fee. Trial eligibility and duration are determined at our discretion and subject to platform rules (Apple / Google).

4.5 Refunds

All refund requests for App Store purchases must be directed to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, refund requests must be directed to Google Play support. We are unable to issue refunds directly for in-app purchases, except where required by applicable consumer law.

5. Reporting Suite and Aggregated Data Sharing

The Service includes a reporting suite available to highway authority and local authority partners. Where your use of the Service (such as searching for roadworks, viewing permit details, or monitoring routes) contributes to usage statistics, such data is processed exclusively in anonymised, aggregated form for the purposes of this reporting.

Aggregated statistics produced by the reporting suite — for example, query volumes by road corridor, permit category trends, or interaction heatmaps — may be shared with highway authorities, local authorities, and road planning partners to support road planning, traffic management, and infrastructure decision-making. These statistics contain no personal data: individual users are never identifiable from any report, and no name, email address, account identifier, or precise location is included in or derivable from any output shared with partners.

By using the Service you acknowledge and agree that your anonymised interaction data may contribute to such aggregated reporting. This does not constitute a sale of personal data and does not affect your rights under UK GDPR. Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy, section 2.4.

6. Open Government Licence Attribution

The roadworks and traffic data displayed in RoadworksTrackr is sourced from government open-data services. The following attribution applies:

Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

The Open Government Licence can be viewed at: nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/version/3/

7. No Government Affiliation or Endorsement

RoadworksTrackr is an independent commercial product. We are not a government body, agency, or contractor. We do not represent any highway authority, local authority, government department, or transport body.

Any reference to government agencies, data sources, or official datasets is solely to attribute the origin of the publicly available data we use. No relationship with, endorsement by, or recommendation from any government body should be implied from the use of the Service or the names of data sources.

8. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

The roadworks data displayed in the Service is sourced in real time (or near-real time) from official government open-data APIs. While we take care to display this data accurately and up to date, we make no representations or warranties, express or implied, as to the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of the data.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JTG Digital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6–12 and 14–15 of these Terms survive termination.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.
